Dolores Calderon, J.D., PhD
Dolores Calderón is a professor of youth, society, and justice at Fairhaven College of Interdisciplinary Studies. Calderón is interested in researching and participating in work that examines ongoing dispossessions. Her research interests also include coloniality/settler colonialisms, land education, and border issues as they manifest themselves in educational contexts. Some of Calderón’s research projects include examining how settler colonial ideologies manifest themselves social studies curriculum, in teacher education, and teacher professional development. Calderon's work also documents the history of violence and extraction that continues to impact the border region of El Paso/Juárez.
