I’m a geographer and ecologist specializing in forest, alpine, and coastal ecosystems of the Salish Sea and Cascadia Bioregions. I use methods drawn from GIS, statistics, ecology, and dendrochronology to explore long-term patterns of environmental change. I have lived and worked in both Canada and the United States and consider myself a proud resident of the transboundary Salish Sea region. I teach geography, GIS, climate science, and biogeography in WWU’s College of the Environment. My latest scholarly work has been focused on creating an open access, digital, interactive Salish Sea Atlas wp.wwu.edu/SalishSeaAtlas
